Instrument/Electrical Project Engineer Company: Chemicals Location: Conroe, TX Salary: $80K to $110K+ Fee: 25% Degree: BSEE minimum Key Accountabilities: Responsible for developing scope of work details for instrument/electrical discipline. Responsible for performing instrument/electrical equipment design. Responsible for performing equipment design calculations and providing equipment specifications for the purchase of new instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, final elements, DCS, PLC's, etc.) and electrical equipment (480V / 4160V pumps, switch gear, etc.). Serves as a Project Team Leader if required and is responsible for the project success (Cost, Timing and Quality). Responsible for attending project team meetings as required. Accountable for project implementation which includes field inspection, problem solving, and coordination. Provides start-up assistance when applicable to project implementation. Collaborates with operations and reliability personnel in diagnosing I/E problems to develop alternatives and implement solutions on an as needed basis. Conducts root cause failure analysis and implements preventative/predictive maintenance programs on an as needed basis. Participates in Process Safety Management reviews (Design Hazard Reviews) Participates in Layer of Protection Analysis reviews (LOPA). Performs LOPA validation and SIL verification. Develops Safety Requirement Specifications for Safety Instrumented Systems. Develops maintenance and testing procedures for Safety Instrumented Systems.

Educational Requirements & Work History: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with 7+ years experience in the chemical and or manufacturing industry required or bachelors degree in related field from an accredited university with 12+ years experience in the chemical and or manufacturing industry preferred.
