Operations Improvement/Quality Manager
Salary: $60 - 75,000, plus bonus (will be paid in Euro\'s)
Range: 58000 - 80000
Education: Bachelors Chemical Engineering [CHE]

Job Duties:
* Manage the Quality function personnel, providing direct reports with challenging, rewarding assignments.
Effectively coach and mentor direct reports in skill development and career growth.
* Manage the Quality Control Analytical Lab. Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of quality tests, procedures, documentation and reporting requirements.
* Management representative responsible for ensuring that quality systems are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with International Standards, such as ISO9001. Will recommend, design, develop and implement systems, procedures and changes. Coordinate audits of our quality systems (Internal; Customer; 3rd Party, etc). * Champion the corrective action process to ensure that site related Customer issues are promptly and thoroughly addressed. Ensure that the process is applied to supplier rejections, internal rejections and audit findings, as well as Customer concerns. Serve as the Customer Champion within the site, ensuring Customer Focus is maintained, and Customer requirements
are integrated throughout the operation. * Support improvement activities at site level; including
development of appropriate metrics to assess implementation and follow-up on lean events to ensure that
timetables are adhered to and proper support from related personnel has been secured. Ensures that all
related follow-up and communications are done in a timely manner. |
Qualifications |
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Quality
* 3 - 5 years of Quality supervision
* Broad knowledge and experience in the full range of implementing and using quality systems and tools, including Lean, SPC, MSE, ISO9001, auditing, and problem solving to improve operations. * Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical degree. * Very desirable: experience in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives, with Six Sigma certification preferred.
Comments:
Position is located in Italy. Requires fluent English and Italian. Reports to Site Manager. Will relocate
within Europe/Italy, but not from US. Looking for someone to grow and develop, with potential for future promotion to Site Manager. This is a US based company, with international operations. The plant has approximately 140 employees. |
