Branch Manager/Automotive Aftermarket Sales
Detroit Michigan
Base of 60-65k plus Commissions
Summary:
The Branch Manager has overall P&L responsibility for the local branch operations, including sales and expense management. In addition to growing top line revenue, the Branch Manager is responsible for all warehouse operations including local fill rates, service levels, local delivery/outbound logistics, inventory management, and safety/security, in line with corporate guidelines and objectives. |
Qualifications |
Responsibilities:
• Establish objectives relating to sales performance. Issue specific objectives to sales staff to meet corporate objectives. Provide training and guidance to sales personnel as necessary. Must take ownership of sales performance and develop/execute the sales strategy for the branch.
• Achieve branch sales/profitability plan.
• Maintain contact with customers regarding sales and service (including sales responsibility for specific assigned accounts).
• Increase branch sales through improved penetration to existing accounts and development of new business.
• Develop, implement and monitor policies and procedures appropriate to the day-to-day operations.
• Meet or exceed local fill rates and service levels.
• Review and approve adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, labor efficiency, material handling, customer service and order entry efficiency.
• Oversee cash management process between the Branch and the Regional Credit department; work with Regional Credit Manager to address local customer credit/collection issues.
• Define and recommend objectives in each area of the operation. Develop specific short-term and long-term plans.
• Evaluate reports (sales, credit, inventory, etc.) and results in relation to established goals.
• Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency and services provided.
• Select and retain qualified personnel in all direct reporting positions.
• Identify training needs, initiate development of staff and recommend effective personnel actions.
Qualifications:
• 5 – 7 years of sales and operations management experience from a branch operation that includes developing new sales opportunities, coaching sales personnel, supervising customer service, overseeing warehouse operations
• Strong leadership qualities and accountability for achieving performance metrics.
• Proven management skills
• Computer proficiency required (Microsoft Office Word, Excel)
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket
