Description |
Lead efforts in achieving, maintaining and enhancing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques while partnering with site management teams to drive the Value Stream Mapping process.
Ability to implement Lean Manufacturing activities and train key site personnel in systems/methodology. Quantitative approach to creating and managing business improvement strategies.
Collaborate with site leadership teams in planning phases and execution of activities to achieve improved productivity through Lean Based Management practices, ensuring focus on customer value streams and continuous improvement.
Provide leadership for the expanded use of Lean Manufacturing and continued enhancement of Six Sigma effectiveness at plant sites by implementing and maintaining team-oriented, data-driven continuous improvement programs.
- Use and promote performance tools like 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen
Travel to multiple sites throughout Europe (approximately 50% travel), implementing process improvement initiatives. Must speak fluent German and English |
Qualifications |
Experience in implementation and management of Lean Manufacturing operations (production, technology and quality) with increasing responsibility/ roles in environments of change.
Recognized expertise in elements of continuous improvement and demonstrated success in leading significant change through an organization.
Technical degree with training in lean, six sigma and/ or business processes.
Mix of engineering and operations talents to be able to understand the implications of changes.
Experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma and problem solving techniques, employee based decision processes, change management and integrated data / metric systems.
Success working in a matrix organization in a chemical business and demonstrated success in developing, implementing and leading use of best practice work processes
Multi-lingual in English and German. Dutch, Flemish, Italian and/or Spanish language skills a plus. |
