PLANT MANAGER - Southern Midwest - Phenomenal Opportunity - Rare opening, please email resume for immediate consideration, position will not remain open for long. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS •Manages the operations organization by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies. •Leads, builds, and develops a high performance, cross functional team. •Reviews and approves annual and long-range plans for the control of outputs, spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, customer service, and order entry efficiency. •Develops annual plans and budgets for capital, direct and indirect labor, and overhead expenses that will assure productivity improvements, effective control, and maintenance of existing equipment and facilities. Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirement forecasts. •Is responsible for the development and implementation of state of the art processes and technologies which can be applied to manufacturing, procurement, logistics, parts operations, order services and engineering services. •Is responsible for plant capacity planning, working with senior leadership to develop an overall strategic blue print for North America and any other future plants. •Reviews performance against operating plans and standards. Provides reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in direction of plans. •Defines and recommends objectives in each area of manufacturing through specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates. •Reviews and approves cost control reports, cost estimates, staffing levels and facilities requirement forecasts in order to meet required customer service levels. •Coordinates and implements quality plans to assure quality is consistent with accepted standards. •Maintains industry acceptable safety levels based on OSHA standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •B.S. in Engineering, Operations Management, or related business discipline. •A minimum of three (3) years as a full-site leader in a manufacturing company that employs over 100 people, with broad functional oversight to include production/plant management, supply chain management, process engineering, and a paint/finishing operation. •A minimum of 10 years experience in various functional areas of manufacturing, with additional experience outside of manufacturing a plus. •Industry experience must include build-to-order products, preferably durable goods. •Experience with successfully implementing a lean manufacturing system on the production floor. •Experience and career history with "Fortune 500" type companies strongly desired. •Collaborative yet decisive leadership style with a passion for both people and the business. •Experience working in nonunion environments. •Proven ability to recruit, train and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth. •Strong interpersonal and high-performance team building skills, with ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up, down, and across organizational lines.
