Basic Function/Job Overview:

  • This position is responsible for the initial review and setup of a job. The person in the position will ensure the contact and status information is verified and documented in appropriate places.  Documentation and follow up are key elements of this position.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify scope of jobs

 

  • Update contact information in ProjectPak and status and dates in Shop Pak

 

  • Complete job information sheet with all relevant information and register job for AWI

 

  • Ensure all necessary data is complete on RFIs and create production tally sheet

 

  • Review shop drawings for content and scope and submit shop drawings

 

  • Manage sample process: request control stain samples from contractor, order samples to submit, and submit samples

 

  • Attend production and engineering meetings

 

  • Complete other duties as assigned.
 

 

Essential Duties & Requirements: 

This position requires the ability to multi-task and tolerate changes in priorities. This person must be able to communicate effectively in English. The ability to use hands to operate office equipment, such as a computer and a telephone is also required.  The ability to think creatively, read, see, talk, and hear are necessary.  The ability to research, evaluate and recommend alternatives is required. The ability to stand, sit, stoop and move from location to location is required. The person in this position may be required to sit at a computer terminal for long periods. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

 

 

Desired Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to work effectively, despite numerous interruptions and changing priorities
  • Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
  • Demonstrated effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and good knowledge of woodworking manufacturing quality improvement processes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with engineering and Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision Solid software and other CAD design software
  • Strong knowledge of companies products, services and manufacturing operations
  • Strong understanding of drafting and engineering principles, standards, and terminology
  • Ability to read and develop blueprint-type drawings
  • Experience in construction administration a plus
